Conference Summary:

Alteon Health Midwest and University Hospitals is proud to announce our first annual collaborative CME education symposium for the management of emergent airway and chest considerations. This event will be held on Saturday November 9th at the Hilton Garden Inn, Twinsburg, OH. This course will consist of a morning didactic session with a variety of speakers and an afternoon skills lab including multiple vendors. Target Audience:

This course is for physicians, advance practice providers, and other health-care professionals with an interest in emergent airway and chest trauma considerations.

 

Objectives:

Attend this educational event to get an overview of airway and chest considerations in emergency medicine and hands-on experience offering skills necessary to manage acute situations.

  • Overview of emergent airway considerations in trauma and application of adjuvant tools including bronchoscopy
  • Identifying and recognizing chest trauma with the use of ultrasound guidance and discussing when to escalate care for surgical intervention
  • Acute thoracic interventions in the emergent setting including life saving tips and tricks
  • Real life clinical scenarios and corresponding imaging to identify complex situations
