Recently, Dr. Sheryl Kingsberg, Chief, Division of Behavioral Medicine at UH Cleveland Medical Center and Professor of Reproductive Biology and Psychiatry at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, took time to sit down with Dr. Marla Shapiro to discuss ‘Tips for Taking a Sexual History’ for their physician listening audience. It is estimated that 1 percent of female patients suffer from some type of sexual dysfunction – but are reluctant to bring up the subject during an appointment with their OB/GYN. By working in these tips, patients may be more open to sharing their concerns. Dr. Shapiro is a Canadian physician and on-air medical contributor to Canada AM. Shapiro, who serves as President of the North American Menopause Society (NAMS), will soon pass the baton to Dr. Kingsberg NAMS’ president-elect.
