Women surgeons are making a difference every day, challenging the status quo and inspiring new generations while providing the highest-quality care to their patients. At the Department of Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery at University Hospitals and Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, we wholeheartedly join the #ILookLikeASurgeon campaign to celebrate diversity in surgery. We applaud the accomplished female surgeons here – and being trained here. In fact, the Department of Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery at UH is a national leader in gender diversity, with five female attending surgeons and eight female surgical residents.
