Natalie Evans, MD, is a vascular medicine physician and medical director for regional vascular laboratories of University Hospitals Harrington Heart & Vascular Institute. Dr. Evans earned her doctor of medicine degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia and completed her internal medicine residency and vascular medicine fellowship training at Northwestern University in Chicago. She previously worked at Cleveland Clinic for eight years, where she had leadership roles in the noninvasive vascular laboratory, pharmacy anticoagulation clinic, and quality and patient safety.
Dr. Evans treats a wide range of peripheral vascular diseases and is especially interested in the medical management of lower extremity peripheral artery disease, treatment of venous thromboembolism (deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism), and diagnosis of hypercoagulable states. Dr. Evans is active with the Peripheral Vascular Disease Council of the American Heart Association and the Society for Vascular Medicine. She is the co-editor of the journal Vascular Medicine's vascular disease patient information page, which provides free downloadable handouts on numerous vascular disease topics.
